This nearly $2.3-million summer lodge on the Leelanau Peninsula is a step into a vanished world of 1920s money, ballroom parties and staffs of live-in servants.

For decades, it was the largest of the summer homes in the exclusive Northport Point association, about 4 miles northeast of the village of Northport and surrounded by Grand Traverse Bay. The house’s original section dates to 1915 and underwent major additions during the 1920s, when the property was purchased by George Dryden and Ellen Dryden, who was the niece of Eastman Kodak founder George Eastman.

On the outside, the house resembles an old-style resort lodge with its large patios, ample yard, private dock and small cabin for guests to change clothes. It faces west and catches the sunsets…
